One of our main priorities is helping people improve joint function and their capacity to move. Lack of movement and control of your joints is one of the leading causes of pain, tension, injury and degeneration. We create a mobility training program based on your assessment using safe progressions that allows us to expand your current mobility, develop better control, and advance your movement abilities.
Joint capsules are made up of fascia and contribute to 47% of a person's ROM. On the table we use fascial stretch therapy to gently traction the joint capsules to increase joint space and restore pain-free movement. We then incorporate FRC® tissue training off the table to reinforce the new ranges. We want you to own your mobility and not simply be renting it session to session!
We use training techniques on and off the table to develop better control of your body and your nervous system. One of the best ways to mitigate injury is to train the positions that are vulnerable to injury. This results in increased movement potential and increased resiliency of tissues. This approach is effective in rehabilitating current injuries, as a safeguard against future injury, and improving athletic performance.
Down-regulating your nervous system will enhance your ability to be able to relax and move into a 'rest-and-digest' state. We look at your current breathing patterns and encourage better use of the principal breathing muscles to open up a deeper quality of breath. This will help you carry less tension overall, improve your quality of sleep, and the function of your immune system.
Our past clients include elite athletes, the general population, as well as people recovering from post-surgery, injury or other limitations. We have helped these clients overcome a wide range of issues and return to their activities stronger than before.
Both coming from a background in strength & conditioning and being athletes ourselves we have a keen interest in giving individuals the tools to optimise their own bodies. We use a combination of FST and FRC training to help people become both mobile and stable to be able to reach whatever their goals are.
We are passionate about helping people move better through life, whether that's in athletic pursuits or simply getting out of bed pain-free.
